Guys.
Big news.
Chelsea just realized
Today is our
ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
CUE THE LASERS!
AIR HORN!
HOT DOG SHAPED CONFETTI!
So we may not be famous…yet. But we want to say thank you for sticking with us through this year.
Even though we’ve only lost a little bit of weight (this is a fitness blog, after all).
Even though we’ve gone on hiatus like, a hundred times.
Even though we don’t Instagram regularly.
Even though we’re the worst sometimes.
Even though I may go to jail for actual murder because two incredibly loud women just sat down at my table and won’t shut up.
You guys stuck with us through it all. You texted and emailed and occasionally yelled at us for not posting and we couldn’t thank you enough.
Some say that inner motivation is the best motivation, but that was probably someone who also wakes up at 5am, goes for a jog, eats egg whites for breakfast and always gives gifts on time. We would have given up a while ago if you guys didn’t keep bugging us and telling us that you like us. We need a lot of positive reinforcement about our writing because we’re human and flawed and that’s why you like us. (We think.)
Just in case you forgot, we did actually do some pretty cool stuff in the past 365 days. We tried spinning classes! We read one book (ok – we read more books but they weren’t a part of the official book club)! We used a bad date as motivation to clean house! We ruminated on a treadmill! We fell off a glacier! We (temporarily) gave up alcohol and it felt fucking fantastic! We dated and cried and lived, laughed, and loved unironically. And we didn’t kill this woman next to me even though she won’t shut up and is now doing yoga.
So thank you guys. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again but big things are coming. More guest posts, embarrassing stories, workout class wins and definitely losses. There’s even rumor of a podcast…
We can’t wait for this next year. It’s gonna be big and loud and uncomfortable at times, but we can’t wait to see where it goes.
Love you guys and thank you for being our biggest cheerleaders. You guys rock.
Everyone please eat a cake and drink a bottle of champagne, since we’re not having a party this year. But put this date on your calendars for a big bash in 2017.
We ❤ you.
XOXO, The Struggle
