Happy Monday sweet friends!
We thought it would be appropriate to start our foray back into blogging with an update on what we did while we were slacking off. We may have been slacking on blogging, but we most definitely weren’t slacking on L.I.V.I.N.
Things we did while we were away:
Went to Morro Bay, bought sweatshirts, saw otters, ate everything and anything we wanted, drank white wine out of inspirational tumblers like suburban moms on a beach trip, almost went blind looking at a full moon through a telescope, and spent 45 minutes* blowing up a 6 foot inflatable penis for a 30-year-old man’s birthday party.
*Turns out there were two air holes so while we blew through one hole the air went out the other. What are the odds?
Joined Equinox and went a total of one time so far.
Bought new workout clothes to wear to Equinox because everyone there is hot and thin and HOW DO YOU LOOK STYLISH AND NOT SWEATY ON THE TREADMILL??!?!
Went to Australia and worked out. Clarification: went to Australia for 3 weeks and worked out twice. I have almost perfect my Australian accent so that’s basically a workout right?
Experienced the worst jet lag of my life. Melatonin is love. Melatonin is life.
Bought a bike to ride to work instead of driving, but haven’t done it yet because I’ve had to work late and mom told me not to ride home late at night alone (good lookin’ out mom).
Got the flu. Got better. Got bronchitis. Got better. Got strep throat. Got better. Have decided never to get sick again.
Have collectively been on 29 planes this year. Aha moment: perhaps this is what caused the flu, bronchitis, strep throat debacle.
Cried for the first time ever at work after having a mental breakdown.
Went to Palm Springs post-breakdown and chilled at the Parker like a queen for a couple days. Ate steak, drank vodka lemonades by the pool, took a twin ghost girls from The Shining picture, watched the Vanderpump Rules reunion show, and got an extra-long hot stone massage at the spa. Bougie, possibly unnecessary, and highly recommended for rebuilding your mental state.
Experienced a tumultuous whirlwind romance.
Cried while watching an episode of Grace & Frankie. It was not a particularly emotional episode. See above: tumultuous whirlwind romance.
Did we mention we saw otters? In the wild?
Turned 29. Celebrated by enjoying what equated to 10 buckets of gluten, sugar, and dairy.
We both vowed to drink more water and bought sexi new Swell* water bottles to help us in our hydration journey. One of us has already forgotten it at home two days in a row.
*Post not sponsored by Swell but please hit us up if you want to sponsor two inspirational young women on a journey to health, thanks.
Went to a bachelorette party in Florida, a 30th birthday in The Hamptons, a wedding shower in New Hampshire, and a very adult vacation in the Southern Hemisphere. #thisisyourlate20’s
Had multiple pow-wows via text, gchat and in person psyching ourselves up for all the new awesome shit we’re about to bring you, dear readers.
There was so much more, but you probably have to get back to working or sleeping or instagramming or cooking dinner or whatever you were doing, so go! Live your life! We’ll be here! See you babies again soon.
YAY! Can’t wait to read more.
